Cavillatrix luteipes Shima et Chao,1992 

　　Remark: The genus Cavillatrix was erected by Richter (1986) as monitypic based on C. calliphorina Richter from Primorskiy, eastern Russia. This genus is characterized by rather curious combination of characters: long plumose arista (usually found in the Dexiini sensu Herting, 1984), a long and strong seta on the pedicel (sometimes found in the Voriini sensu Herting, 1984), strongly forwardly projected lower portion of face (sometimes found in the Tachininae), and haired prosternum (usually found in the Exoristinae). Richter placed the genus in the tribe Leskiini of the subfamily Tachininae, and we agree with her assignment. Shima has recently found that this genus is widely distributed in the area from East Asia to Oceania through Japan and Southeast Asia. A revision of the genus will be made by Shima in his forthcoming paper. The present new species may be easily distinguished from C. calliphorina by the yellowish legs and thinly and narrowly pollinose abdomen.
